Kathy Aiken, SportsbeatIt's Homecoming for the Jordan Beetdiggers this Friday, and it is the team's final home game of the season. But there's no advantage for them as it is just another home-away-from-home game.

The Jordan Beetdiggers are getting ready for their final home game of the season on Friday when when they host Skyline at Hillcrest. They are playing at Hillcrest because Jordan's new state of the art football field has yet to field its home team. Football coach Alex Jacobson said, "It's taken a little longer, but patience is a virtue. My wife says I don't have patience so I guess this is a great lesson for me."

The field was supposed to be finished weeks ago, but after soft spots were found under the turf the delays began. Despite all that the Beetdiggers haven't missed a beat. They're undefeated against in-state teams and ranked #1 in 5-A, with every game played on someone else's field. Senior Matthew Scholl said, "It's just overcoming adversity our coaches try to teach us to overcome adversity and I think we have."

Coach Jacobsen hopes the Beetdiggers will finally play a real home game during the playoffs.
