CLEARFIELD — Snow and slick roads are to blame for an accident that killed two people in Davis County Tuesday night.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, a car driving northbound on I-15 lost control near 700 South in Clearfiled. The vehicle rolled across the center median and went into the southbound lanes where it was broadsided by the semitruck.
Troopers say neither the male driver of the car nor his passenger was wearing a seat belt. Both were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on scene.
Southbound I-15 will remain closed in the area while UHP troopers investigate the accident.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
