NORTH SALT LAKE — Police investigators in North Salt Lake are having a hard time tracking down the perpetrators of a robbery and a burglary. The cases are unrelated, but officers hope surveillance images provided by the businesses involved will help them identify and apprehend the thieves.
U.S. Bank branch robbery
The photographs are a little grainy. But if you know the man in them, chances are you can make out who he is.

That's what North Salt Lake police detectives are hoping.
The man who committed the March 1 robber of the U.S. Bank branch at 1090 N. 500 East has not been identified, and detectives are asking for the public to take another look at the photo.
North Salt Lake Sgt. Mitch Gwilliam said during the robbery, which occurred at about 3:45 in the afternoon, the man told a teller "no one would get hurt" if the teller gave him money.
The man never showed an actual weapon. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of money and he ran away.
The man is described as a 6 feet 1 inch tall and appears to be in his mid-20s. He also has a goatee.
At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing a dark winter jacket and a white and green plaid hat.
Cigarette burglary

In a separate case, North Salt Lake detectives are also looking for two female burglars.
The women smashed the front door of a business on 33 West and 1100 North on Feb. at about 2 a.m. Police say the women stole a large quantity of cigarettes and other items.
A store surveillance camera was able to take pictures of the two women, but they remain at large.
Anybody with any information on either case is asked to call North Salt Lake police detective Rob Gwynn at 801-335-8655 or police detective Jayson Rosky at 801-335-8667.
