SALT LAKE CITY - NBA All-Star weekend is right around the corner and the stars have aligned and the basketball gods have heard the prayers of Jazz fans, high-flying Jeremy Evans is in the dunk contest.
New York Knicks guard Iman Shumpert was originally in the dunk contest line-up, but an injury has sidelined him and Jazz forward Jeremy Evans is in.
Evans plays limited minutes and averages only about two points per game, but those two points usually come on a monster dunk. He isn't a household name, but a strong showing in this year's dunk contest could change that.
MMA Fighter Knocks Himself Out
MMA can be a brutal sport and make spectators cringe as they watch fighters pummel each other with feet, hands, elbows and anything else they can manage. Seeing someone get knocked out cold during one of these fights isn't all that rare, but seeing someone knock themselves out is very rare.
During a fight last weekend Dan Lariviere tried to take out Jeremie Capony with a flying kick. Well, Lariviere completely air balled on the kick and landed so hard that he knocked himself out. Capony was crowned the winner and Lariviere was given a bag of ice to put on his crown.
Taking Bikes to a New Level
A few months back we showed you a video of Danny MacAskill and his mad skills on a two-wheeler. Well, he's back in a video for POC Wheels along with riders Daniel Dhers and Martin Soderstrom. To be honest I wasn't really sure some of this stuff was even possible on a bike.
Not much to explain with this one other than it's awesome. It makes the old saying, "Easy as riding a bike" sound kind of stupid. This stuff does not look easy.
