SALT LAKE CITY -- Critically acclaimed television series Mad Men will return to the AMC network for a fifth season on March 25.

To advertise the return of the show after a length contract dispute, AMC is running an ad campaign atop taxi cabs that reads: "Adultery is Back."

The campaign has drawn the ire of plenty of critics, including a commentary by Richard Lawson of the Atlantic Wire, and The New Yorker's Ben Greenman.

"Not that we're some creaky old traditionalists who value monogamy above all else, but making that of all things the selling point for a brilliant, beautiful show seems a little silly," Lanman wrote.

Adultery and morality are often a hot topic of debate, with the general consensus among the American population being that the action is detrimental to a healthy marital relationship. National Marriage Project director Bradford Wilcox noted in a 2010 interview with National Review Online, "Family breakdown inhibits the accumulation of assets, increases stress and depression and raises the mortality rate."
