Mary Richards, KSL Newsradio A used car dealership is practically gutted after a fire in car bay this morning, but employees say they are lucky nothing worse happened.
Michael Martinez was fixing a Subaru's fuel pump at the Dean Clark Used Cars dealership in Salt Lake when the battery sparked. Next thing, flames were everywhere. "All I heard was a boom, and seeing flames all over the place. I mean, the gas blew, it was on the walls, on the floor," he said.

He and the other worker ran out just in time.
Firefighters were training just two blocks away near Franklin Covey Field when they noticed smoke.
They got there in 90 seconds, but the bays and three cars were completely charred by the time the fire was out.
Officials say the fire caused about $100,000 worth of damage.
