SANDY — Jeannie Kennedy of Sandy loves people and it's evident in the good deeds she does every day.

Her daughter, Lisa Sharp, nominated her for a High 5 because to her family, Jeannie is Super Woman. Her husband said, "She takes real good care of me and everybody else."

Her daughters say she does everything she can for everyone, including cleaning her daughters' rooms, making afghans to donate for charities, and mowing the neighbors' lawns.

It's almost impossible to keep Jeannie down. She recently had foot surgery. Doctors told her to stay off of it for two or three weeks, but that didn't happen.

Her daughter Jerry said, "The neighbors, they've been having health problems and she's been helping them. She had her big boot on and she was over there sitting down, digging weeds and stuff like that."

Lisa said, "She's always helping everybody, every step of every day. No matter the time, the money, no matter what it is, she's there to help."

We caught Jeannie as she was getting ready to take her grandkids to school. It's something she has done for the past 14 years. At times that meant back and forth trips to three different schools around the valley.

Her granddaughters said, "It's amazing. We have an amazing grandma. She's always there for us and she's great. I look forward to it every morning."

Jeannie also looks forward to the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with her grandkids about life, school and boys.

"I love my family a lot," Jeannie said. "They mean a lot to me."

With all of the driving Jeannie does taking her grandchildren to school, she was very appreciative of a gift certificate from our High 5 partners, Les Schwab, to use towards some new tires.

If you know someone who deserves a High 5, nominate them here.
