OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- Deputies have been sand bagging in preparation for possible flooding this week in Ogden Valley.

Sheriff's deputies are afraid the Ogden River may flood some nearby homes. They say about two dozen homes are vulnerable to flooding from the river.

In fact, deputies say every year these homes are regularly threatened. So as a precaution, Weber County deputies have been hauling sandbags to the area.

Yesterday, deputies placed some sandbags near a couple of the homes.

Anyone wanting sandbags can get them by calling the Weber County Sheriff's Office.
