SALT LAKE CITY — Police are asking for the public's help to find a man accused of entering a home, stripping and then threatening a 19-year-old woman.
Just before 7 a.m. Monday, a woman was asleep in her house, near 2600 East and 200 South, when she awoke "to see a male removing his shorts and underwear as he stood next to her bed," said Salt Lake Police Sgt. Shawn Josephson.
The man threatened to stab the woman if she said anything, although no weapon was seen. But the woman still grabbed a nearby cell phone and started dialing numbers, Josephson said.
It's very concerning this individual is out there. We're looking for any help from the public we can get.

It apparently scared the man enough that he put his shorts and a coat back on, and left out the back door. It was not immediately clear how the man entered the home, Josephson said.
"It's very concerning this individual is out there," he said. "We're looking for any help from the public we can get."
The intruder is described as a white man in his 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with an average build, clean shaven and what was described as a "square face."
