Brooke Walker ReportingA fire threatened an American Fork business today. The fire is out now, but for a time, it looked as if things could get worse.
It happened at Cascade Shadows Nursery in American Fork. The business owners had a vacant mobile home in the back yard. They had received a burner's permit to burn it to the ground, but when they began to do so, things got out of control.
When they realized it was beyond their capabilities, the fire department was called. Just as fire crews arrived on the scene, the roof of the mobile home collapsed. Not much is left of the structure at this point.
The fire did take out a power line in the process.
Crews say everything is under control now.
