SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Family and friends will soon say their final goodbyes to a Utah native soldier that was killed in Iraq earlier this month.

Services for 28-year-old Army Specialist Ty Johnson are planned this week. Johnson was born and raised in Sandy, and was part of the 101st Airborne Division in Kentucky.

Johnson was killed in a roadside bombing on April fourth. He had recently re-enlisted in the Army for six more years.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday at one p-m at the Goff Mortuary in Midvale. Burial will then follow at the Midvale City Cemetery.

Johnson is survived by his wife and two small children.
