SALT LAKE CITY — This week's Wednesday's Child says she knows her family is out there, and she says she can wait for them to find her.

"I just want a family that will love me; that I'll be there for them and love them as well, and be a part of something great," Mariah said.

The 17-year-old says if she could paint the picture of the perfect family, it would look pretty simple. "If God gave me a family, I'd be so blessed," she said.

Mariah wants a family to care for her, and who she can care about, a stable home, a loving environment — all things many kids take for granted.

"I've never had that family that loves you and cares about you just because, and won't hurt you or love you because you're worthless," Mariah said.
