MURRAY — Police have arrested a 49-year-old man who they say attempted to kill his girlfriend.
Police responded late Thursday night to a report of a woman who had been severely beaten, according to Murray police officer Kenny Bass. The 45-year-old woman had fled to a neighbor's house, and the neighbor called police.
"She had obvious injuries," Bass said. "She's got some serious brain injuries."
Police contacted the woman's boyfriend, Daniel Folsom, who police believe beat the woman. Folsom has a history of domestic violence, Bass said, and was booked into jail Friday.
When taken to the hospital, the woman "went into full arrest," Bass said, and was in critical condition.
Folsom has not been charged but was arrested for investigation of aggravated assault and attempted homicide.
