(KSL News) -- A car hit a light pole this morning, seriously injuring three people.
The driver was trying to pass another car on I-215 when he swerved and hit the pole.
Two men inside had to be extricated and a female was ejected from the car. All had to be taken to hospitals.
Police believe they survived because the car hit the pole at an angle instead of straight on.
Police say alcohol and speed may have contributed to the accident, but they are still investigating.
