LAYTON -- Crews in Layton saved a man who was trapped in his car after it went down a steep ravine.
Police say the man was driving on Gordon Avenue at Fort Lane in Layton around 6 p.m. Wednesday when another car crashed into his. His vehicle was pushed 40 feet down a ravine and into a small creek.
It took rescuers about an hour of using the "jaws of life" to pull the man out of his car. He was taken to a local hospital with a head injury. Investigators say he will recover.
The driver of the other car was not injured.
