WEST VALLEY CITY — A 24-year-old woman had both her legs broken after being hit by a UTA bus Monday.
The woman was crossing the street in a crosswalk near 3650 South and 3200 West just after 10:30 a.m. when she was hit by a bus making a left turn, said West Valley Police Sgt. Mike Powell.
The bus driver apparently didn't see the pedestrian and appeared to be at fault for failing to yield, according to the preliminary investigation, Powell said. The driver would likely be cited, he said.
UTA also was expected to conduct its own internal investigation.
