(KSL News) Eagle Mountain has won a challenge about how many residents it has.
The city has convinced the U.S. Census Bureau that it has nearly 17,400 residents, instead of just over 12,000 as the 2006 estimate reported.
The change could mean more than bragging rights though, including hundreds of thousands of state sales-tax dollars. That city may also get additional funding for transportation and capital projects.
