(KSL News) A Salt Lake City man refused to cooperate with police. The reason was hiding beneath him.
As part of an ongoing investigation into a theft case, Salt Lake City police officers checked out the house at 271 N. Redwood Road. They found a man sitting inside who would not stand up. When he finally agreed, officers figured out why. He was sitting on a stolen handgun.
The gun belongs to someone in South Salt Lake, and apparently that's not the only thing this guy was hiding.
Sgt. Dave Ward, Salt Lake City Police Dept.: "We found a rifle, a stolen pistol, a large quantity of drugs and a large quantity of money."
Officers arrested the man for the stolen gun, and he'll likely face other charges for drug possession.
