(KSL News) A man convicted of stabbing another man to death then leading police on a four-day manhunt will not be released from prison.
The Board of Pardons and Parole ruled Brett Allan Olsen will stay behind bars for at least another year.
Olsen is convicted of stabbing Paul Jensen to death during a fight in Salina in 1991. A few days later, he overpowered a guard at the Sevier County Jail and escaped, leading police on a four-day search.
Olsen admits he was drunk the night of the murder, and says that led to the stabbing.
