(KSL News) A high-profile lawyer will arrive in town tomorrow to represent an Orem woman who went to jail for not watering her lawn.
Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred said in a statement she will accompany 70-year-old Betty Perry to the Orem police department and to her arraignment.
Perry faces charges of resisting arrest and a zoning violations for failing to maintain her yard. Orem city leaders apologized to Perry and put the officer on leave, but the city attorney decided to prosecute.
