(KSL News) -- After three years and more than four million dollars spent, The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral was rededicated tonight.
A national historic site, the 75-year-old church underwent a huge restoration project and seismic upgrade.
Today, Father Michael Kouremetis led the congregation in a special ceremony, followed by a ribbon-cutting. Many of the faithful, as well as those of other faiths in the community, contributed to the restoration fund.
The Greek community recently celebrated its 100th anniversary in Utah, and today also marked Greek Independence Day.
