(KSL News) Substitute teachers in at least six districts are getting raises. Some could see as much as a 36 percent increase.

For example, substitutes with college degrees in Jordan will make $82 a day, up from $66 last year.

The raises come as many districts say they're struggling with substitute teacher shortages. Some districts are getting caught with unmanned classrooms, for which they now have to pay schoolteachers to fill in.
