HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah (AP) -- A group of Utah veterans is headed to Washington D.C. to see a memorial they were part of creating.
The vets are going to visit the World War II Memorial. A similar trip was planned for last spring, but had to be scrapped at the last minute because of financial problems.
This trip seems to be a go. About 25 veterans got on a bus yesterday from St. George and were headed to Hill Air Force Base.
A flight from Hill is taking the veterans to Washington for the weekend.
