(KSL News) -- Salt Lake Mayor Rocky Anderson has named a new chief for the city's police department.
Mayor Anderson appointed Assistant Chief Chris Burbank to the post. He is set to replace Chief Rick Dinse, who will retire at the end of the month.
Burbank has served with the Salt Lake City Police Department for 15 years.
