SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Governor Huntsman has until midnight today to decide the fate of about 30 bills.
Today, the governor will either sign, veto or allow a bill to become law without his signature. As of last night, about 30 bills still remained on his desk from the 2006 legislative session.
Yesterday, Huntsman signed a bill that over time could save Utah gas customers ten to 15 (M)million dollars. The measure allows local entities to collect up to ten percent more in natural gas sales tax in any one year. Anything more than that will go to the customers.
The bill's sponsor says natural gas prices have gone up 40 percent in recent months.
