(KSL News) Hazmat crews responded to a gas leak this morning.
Officials say employees at Costco Warehouse smelled ammonia and called for help. Crews discovered a leak in the refrigeration system.
They evacuated about 80 employees from the building and shut down system's main valve.
300 south was closed at 60th west for several hours, while crews cleaned up the mess.
Scott Freitag, Salt Lake City Fire Department: "Until we can be sure that it's shut off and the building is cleared, we'll keep the road and building closed. But if we find it's just residual, we'll ventilate it and open the building."
No one was injured by the leak.
