How many 100 degree days does SLC have on average? Mark R.
******************************************************
Ah yes, it does get quite warm in the summer for some of Utah. Using climate data from the National Weather Service from the Salt Lake Airport that is publicly available we can find this information.
Average high temperatures in Salt Lake for much of the summer are in the upper 80's to lower 90's, but we do hit 100 from time to time.
We average 5 days above 100 degrees each summer in Salt Lake.
However, some years won't hit 100 at all and others will make the mark often!
During the summer of 2005 we had 8 days above 100 degrees! But that doesn't compare to the summer of 1994 which had 21 days of 100 degree or higher readings. Hot stuff! The warmest ever recorded at the airport was 107 degrees on July 13th of 2002.
