(KSL News) -- November's election ballots will be filled with new names campaigning for several openings left by retiring officials.

Retiring

  • Carol Page, Davis County Commissioner 13 years in office
  • Carol Buckly, Davis County Assessor 7 years in office
  • Von Butler, Salt Lake County Surveyor 10 years in office
  • David Yocom, Salt Lake County District Attorney 16 years in office

Davis County Commissioner Carol Page won't run for re-election, nor will Davis County Assessor Carol Buckly. Salt Lake County Surveyor Von Butler and Salt Lake County District Attorney David Yocom are also retiring from office.

Candidates for District Attorney

  • Kent Morgan (R)
  • Lohra Miller (R)
  • Sim Gill (D)

Republicans Kent Morgan and Lohra Miller each hope to replace Yocom as District Attorney. Yocom has asked a fellow Democrat to run. He hand picked Sim Gill, Salt Lake City's chief prosecutor.

Several other city and county offices could also face major changes in November.
