(KSL News) -- Police in West Valley are looking for a carjacking suspect. It happened just after 2:30 this afternoon.
A 65-year old woman got out of her car to drop something off. Her sister was still in the passenger seat.
Capt. Tom McLachlan, West Valley City Police Dept.: "Got in the car, ordered the passenger who was the only occupant in the car to get out of the car, and if she didn't, he would use a gun. However, no gun was shown."
The suspect took off in the victim's car. An officer making a traffic stop saw the vehicle and followed it.
The suspect ditched the car at an at an auto repair shop in the area of 1400 West and 35th South, then he took of running into an apartment complex. Police are searching the complex.
They say the man is in his 20s and is wearing a tan, Levi's jacket and black and white checkered shirt.
