PROVO -- Provo police arrested two brothers after investigators say one of them tried to rob a skateboarder.

Police say the victim was riding a skateboard home around 1 a.m. When he reached the railroad tracks at 1901 W. 820 North, a 17-year-old male approached him, pulled out a handgun and tried to rob him.

The victim tried to flee but the robber punched him. An officer then drove by and saw the crime. The robber fled, but police found him hiding with his brother, Thomas Hearn.

Both brothers were arrested for aggravated robbery. The 17-year-old, who is a resident of the Bronx, N.Y., was booking into a detention facility; Thomas Hearn, 23, of American Fork, was booked into the Utah County Jail.

Investigators are still looking for the handgun.
