(KSL News) -- Thanks to good communication between family members, police say three suspected burglars are behind bars at the Utah County Jail.

Investigators say the suspects broke into an electronics shop overnight, then returned to steal again a half-hour later, leaving the store owner to clean up the mess in the morning.

"[The owner] reported missing about $20,000 worth of property," says Provo Police Detective Hiatt Bean.

Later in the day, authorities say the store owner got a call from a relative, who owns a car installation shop. There, some customers apparently wanted to install a large amount of new equipment.

"I called the suspects on the phone and asked them to pick up their car, and they showed up," Bean says.

Investigators then interviewed and arrested Jose Leyva and two juveniles after they allegedly admitted to the crime. Officers say they also found the suspects wearing stolen clothing and watches from the Provo Towne Centre mall.
