Keith McCord Reporting We've certainly warmed up this week in Utah, close to 50 degrees today in the north. Snow is melting fast and though it's early, people are starting to get a bit of Spring fever.
A couple of the Salt Lake County courses will open tomorrow. We drove all around town today and found dozens of golfers hitting balls at the range at "Golf in the Round"; they have heaters there.
People were out taking walks at Liberty Park, kids were on the playground, the tennis courts were also dry and people had a game going. We also noticed the Christmas light crews at the Delta Center were up in the trees, taking the lights down--now, there's a sign of Spring! But whatever people were doing today, the were just glad to be outside.
Glen Furubayshi: "I've been hitting balls at least three days a week, just got to get my practice in now before the real time comes."
Shelley Kaufhold: "They're really enjoying, after being cooped up this winter, they're happy to be outside again. And I'm excited that they can get outside again."
Michael Holley: "I need some warm Utah air, need some sun. I've been cooped up in the cabin too long!"
And, for those of you who love to work in the garden, take a look at the flower beds in front of our building. Yep, things are starting to pop out of the ground. Spring has sprung.... almost.
