(KSL News) -- Flames tore through a Springville home in the final stages of construction.

The fire department received multiple calls from neighbors who smelled smoke.
By the time crews arrived, the fire completely engulfed the home, located near 2200 E. Deer Creek Way. So firefighters just kept it from spreading to nearby homes.
Officials aren't sure what caused the fire.

They say no one was home when flames broke out, but painters and electricians had put finishing touches in earlier in the week.
