(KSL News) The body of a man found at the bottom of Rock Canyon has been identified.
Provo police say Joseph Fifield of Spanish Fork was found dead by hikers Wednesday. Officials say he was nearly unrecognizable because he had so many bruises and broken bones.
At this point, investigators believe Fifield fell and his death was an accident.
Official word will come from the medical examiner's office.
