(KSL News) -- After a week of cold temperatures, our February snow is starting to melt. Highs in the 40's for the next few days means that snow on roofs will be melting pretty fast.
Some people might be inspired to clean off the snow, but experts say that going up there might not be a wise idea.
Fred Vath, Roofer Supply: "If you really feel the need to do something of that nature, put a ladder up, tie it off, stand on the ladder with some type of rake situation, pull it down. If you can't reach it at that point in time, you need to contact a professional."
Fortunately, you can let most of the snow melt on your roof by itself, unless you are already having a problem.
