Samantha Hayes ReportingOne of the most memorable images of the 2002 Games was the scene downtown after the competitions, from the Medals Plaza to the Gallivan Center, to the parties in Park City. So what's it like in Italy?

A Look at Torino's Nightlife

It looks more like something you might see in Vegas, The Budweiser house isn't exactly Baroque. But it is the place to party and people are lining up outside the six-story, pyramid-shaped nightclub, It's located downtown, next to the U.S.A house, on the Po River.

Four major events are hosted at the club, and it certainly helps to have your name on the guest list. Inside, the DJ spins tunes in a booth on a tower. There are video screens and even a hot tub. Locals, athletes and people from all over say the nightlife is part of their Olympic experience.

Colin Lynch, Denver: "The city is older, European, which is a lot more fun."

Trevor Olch, Park City: "It's different, the language barrier is a little tougher, but the food is good and the people have been extremely nice. Transportation is tougher, but in all it's a good experience."

A Look at Torino's Nightlife

Just like the Salt Lake City Olympics, some of the biggest parties and greatest night life is at the houses sponsored by the various countries. The Columbia Canada Place really gets people rockin' and rollin' for their Olympics in 2010."

Paul Welsh, British Columbia, Canada Place: "What we are trying to do is take advantage of British Columbia's tie-in to the Olympic spotlight. And we are looking for ways to capture people's attention."

It got our attention; the Canada house is a log cabin in the middle of downtown Torino.

Paul Welsh: "It's going all out to stock a log home in a centuries old city like Torino was a pretty bold step, but we wanted to get people's attention. And then once we had that attention, made sure we told them about who we are and what we have to offer."

Michele Comeau Thompson, Whistler Ski Resort: "It's been so exciting to have a presence here and showcase whistler to the world.

Because when the world arrives for the Games, so does the party. British Columbia is spending six million to advertise for the 2010 games. The log cabin is a gift to Torino and will be used as an education center for school children.
