(KSL News) New details this morning about a crash outside Las Vegas that killed four Utahns.

Nevada Police say the 28-year-old trooper, Joshua Corcran, who rear-ended the victims' car, was speeding. Investigators still don't know if the trooper was chasing another car or responding to an emergency, but he did not have his emergency lights or sirens on.

Dispatch records show Corcran was not assigned to a call.

The trooper slammed into a packed Cadillac on I-15 Sunday night. Police say the Cadillac driver was not speeding.

Four people died. Corcran and a teenage girl believed to be pregnant survived. She's unconscious in the hospital.
