More than a week after they all skated their routines, and then waiting out the judging controversy, the Russian and Canadian pairs Ice Skating teams finally received their Gold Medals and then received a thunderous applause from the crowd.
No applause from the crowds at Salt Lake International. The terminals were jammed on this day--a Sunday-- as Olympic visitors headed home after the first full week of competition.
"It's frustrating. I didn't expect it to be this long. I knew it was going to be bad, but it's worse than I expected."
Passengers were arriving two to three hours early just to make their flights.
Crowds at some Salt Lake businesses were sparse. Many extended their hours, but some say sales went down during the games. But anyone selling Olympic merchandise seemed to be doing well, "Four Years Ago Today."
