MILL CREEK CANYON — Search-and-rescue teams found a couple Saturday night who became stranded on a hike to Gobblers Knob.

The married couple in their 30s started their trek Saturday morning but left the trail and became lost in a cliff area, said Unified Police Lt. John Barker. They had food and water, but were scared to move, he said. They called for help on their cell phone.

A search team found the couple late Saturday and was escorting them down the mountain.

Gobblers Knob is the highest point between Mill Creek and Big Cottonwood canyons.
