(KSL News) -- A Utah legislator is making it official, he's going to run against Second district Congressman Jim Matheson this fall.
Draper Republican LeVar Christensen is now one of three conservative candidates promising to offer a choice in a district where Democrat Matheson has held office since 2000.
LeVar Christensen, Republican Candidate For Congress: "There are important differences in the vision of the two parties. And I htink that difference really matters. I look forward to a principaled discussion of those differences. I beleive the republican difference is right for American and right for Utah."
Today, Congressman Matheson says he welcomes the chance to have a conversation with Utah voters about his track record, accomplishments and goals.
