(KSL News) -- Law enforcement officers will be sifting through the charred remnants of vehicles in the Utah wilderness.
Trainers staged an exercise to prepare for real-life car bomb situations like those in Iraq. They set off blasts at the Utah Test and Training Ground.
Each went off in a van or ambulance and weighed more than 400 pounds.
The explosions are part of training for law enforcement officers from Kentucky, Michigan, Florida, and Chicago.
