Samantha Hayes Reporting Now that the Games are underway, downtown Torino has come to life, especially around the medals plaza.
Last night three Americans received their medals-- two of them gold. And that was followed by a concert. Much like it was in Salt Lake City, that area is the nightly gathering place.
On the way there, you want to walk near the Po River. There's an interesting light display where lasers are projected through a curtain of water, and famous landmarks are lit up in differerent colors. It's a place where lots of folks are stopping and taking pictures.

There will be a live concert every night of the Olympics, and of course lots of parties at the different houses. We'll be checking those out soon.
