(KSL News) While the families of the trapped miners who are here are getting support from their community, three of the miners' families are waiting for answers in Mexico.

The Deseret Morning News reports the Salt Lake Mexican consulate is working to secure humanitarian visas for the families of Luis Hernandez, Carlos Payan and Manuel Sanchez.

Those visas are generally reserved for critical medical conditions. The consulate says the paperwork was supposed to be completed and filed with U.S. officials yesterday.
