(KSL News) -- Utah Power and authorities in Salt Lake County are looking for suspects who caused a January power outage.

Utah Power officials say someone broke into a building on 1900 East and 47th South. The company says someone broke a lock to get inside the building and damaged some components inside.

The outage impacted at least 3,500 customers on January 27th. Utah Power customers were without electricity for about an hour.

The company is now offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
