(KSL News) A woman in Utah County led deputies on a high speed chase with her three-year-old son in the car.
It started on I-15 southbound in Pleasant Grove.
A deputy pulled the woman over for a routine traffic stop. The officer realized the woman had outstanding arrest warrants for a traffic violation and a contempt of court charge.
He told her he was taking her to jail, so she needed to get a babysitter. He went back to his cruiser to make phone calls and the woman took off.
She exited in Orem, driving about 80 miles an hour. She stopped a few blocks later, but police say still resisted arrest. A deputy tasered her and took her to the Utah County jail.
