BYU received commits from Bobby Wolford of Jacksonville, Florida and Phillip Amone of Orlando, Florida. Both players committed after seeing BYU up close for the first time.

Wolford is a 6-foot-3-inch, 230-pound linebacker prospect who immediately took to BYU's strong Christian standards and clean environment.

"That was the first thing that struck me, was just how good and clean the place felt," he said. "It's definitely the best feeling I've had on any campus that I've visited, and that's one of the main reasons why I committed today on my first visit to the school."

Wolford had offers from Navy, Harvard and other small programs and was receiving interest from Boston College but was waiting for an offer from them.

"Boston College should have offered earlier before I found exactly what I was looking for at BYU," he said.

Wolford is not LDS but holds strong Christian standards, which are in line with BYU's honor code.

"I love the honor code, and it's a big reason why I'm going to BYU," he said. "A lot of schools, they have distractions and things that don't let you focus on things that should be the most important things in your life. BYU is a school that doesn't have those things."

Wolford was recruited by BYU secondary coach Nick Howell.

"I love Coach Howell, and he's the main reason why I even came to visit BYU," he said. "I'm so thankful to him for taking interest in me because I don't think I would have found out or would be even interested in BYU without him."

Academics are important to Wolford, and he plans to study business while at BYU.

"The Marriot school of business is one of the best in the country, and it's perfect for me," he said. "To have the opportunity to play for a great football program and attend a school with high moral standards that has a great business program, it's really perfect for me."

Phillip Amone is a 6-foot, 218-pound prospect from Dr. Phillips High School.

"I came out for a visit on Wednesday and loved everything about it," Amone told scout.com. "The people are great, and I really love my position coach, Coach Tidwell."

Amone had an offer from Florida Atlantic and was receiving interest from Florida State, Georgia Tech, Hawaii, Oregon, Stanford and from Utah before committing to BYU.
