(KSL News) A Springville man accused of raping a woman he met online has hit a major obstacle in his case.

Kent Parkinson's attorney is withdrawing from the case. The attorney says Parkinson can't pay him.

Investigators say Parkinson met single women on LDS dating sites, lured them to secluded locations, then assaulted them. One woman says Parkinson held her captive for ten hours and raped her repeatedly.

He's been in jail since December.

The judge will appoint Parkinson a public defender.
