(KSL News) He served his community as a police officer, and now he heads up Clearfield city's emergency services.

This morning's High 5 goes to a man who helps his neighbors prepare for everything.

If you live in Clearfield or the surrounding area, Morton Sparks is a good man to know. He's director of emergency services there, and he was nominated for a High 5 by his friend, Richard Fisher.

Richard told Morton, "This is for all the extra time you do and the vision for helping Clearfield and the surrounding area be prepared for any kind of emergency. You do a lot for us citizens here in Clearfield."

Morton responded, "You don't need enemies when you have friends like these. But I'm grateful for the recognition. I do love this work, and I care about our community."
