(KSL News) A suspicious package forced Layton police to evacuate hundreds of people from restaurants and businesses.
Police went to Lowe's Home Improvement store off of Antelope Drive. Store management told officers a company truck driver found a suspicious package in the back of his truck. He says it was placed with the story inventory.
Police and the Davis County Bomb Squad evacuated the area. Investigators say the package was made to look like a bomb, but turned out to be harmless.
