This is Chris Redgrave for Zions Bank Speaking on Business.

In the past, running a successful small company involved having good business sense and using a lot of elbow grease. Today's small business needs have changed and one of your top concerns is most likely information technology. It's a multi-billion dollar industry for companies in the United States and continues to grow every year.

If you're looking for help in streamlining your computer automation system Customer Dynamics might be able to help. Owners Sheridan and Ryan Redmond are computer consultants that have had notable success working within various industries.

This passionate duo is motivated by setting small to medium-sized businesses up with a Microsoft tool that can help every department of a business. Customer Dynamics takes this system and customizes it for individual business to increase sales and work towards customer retention.

Ryan Redmond got his computer experience early while serving in the Navy on the USS Enterprise in the late 80s. After receiving his mechanical engineering degree from the U of U, he kept feeling pulled toward computers so he got into the business early, just as they were becoming an emerging business trend. Besides being naturally intrigued with computers, he also wanted to be his own boss, a passion he shares with Sheridan. Because they are a small business, they can relate to the excitement and challenges that come with owning your own company.

I was interested to know how they strike a balance at home raising four kids and managing to talk about something other than business. They admitted it's tough because they love watching their clients succeed. But, they're also providing a great example for their kids as they create another successful local business, Customer Dynamics. I'm sure this Salt Lake City company is another reason Utah is rated No. 1 for our economic dynamism and is receiving national attention as one of the best managed states in the nation.

Sheridan and Ryan are committed to streamlining their clients' IT needs and helping improve their business model in any way possible. For more information about Customer Dynamics, visit customerdynamics.com.
